Come along, from the creek to the hearth.
Ride along with Claim & Craft as we prospect and explore BC, film the trips, and turn what each one turns up into one-of-a-kind art, furniture and pieces for the home. Then go see what’s in your own backyard.
Every piece starts on a trip
Nothing here is anonymous stock. Each piece goes back to a place and a season, and you can read about the trip it came from.
Creek
Prospecting the claims and the open country of BC, with a Free Miner Certificate, hand tools and a lot of driving.
Camp
Notes, photos and video from the field. The trips go in the journal, and the episodes are coming to YouTube.
Bench
Back at the shop: wood, metal and lapidary work. Rock gets cut, slabbed, set and finished.
Hearth
One-of-a-kind pieces for the home, plus mineral lots for collectors and makers.

The old galena tunnel
This fall brought a new claim: a small one over an old lead showing in the Fraser Valley, west of Hope. The old records say a tunnel was driven here by hand between 1899 and 1902, about 27 metres into the rock, chasing galena. Nobody ever recorded any production.

Backroad expeditions
The adventures happen by 4x4, quad, dual-sport and adventure bike: gravel roads, forest lakes, burned-over valleys, and the odd bear in a field. Every trip has stops to explore, and plenty of them end with a rock sample, a shed antler or a piece of wood strapped on for the ride home. That's where a lot of the work in the shop begins. There are back roads like these close to wherever you live. Go see what's down yours.
